6 Gogolya str. There is a surprising diversity of architectural styles on Gogolya Street. Classicism, Gothic, Renaissance, and Roman. It was renamed in honor of the great Russian author Gogol. Gogol visited Odessa twice, and both times he resided on this street, at both number 11 and 15.
Quite location in the city center, street begins in Komsomolskyy boulevard, close to the Mother in Law bridge there is a small alcove preserved by the city. The alcove has a charming little arch bridge that is a popular location for newlyweds to take photos. A cast iron griffin statue overlooks the bridge. The alcove also has a robed woman in the center of the flowerbed and a well built in 1858. Just beyond the old well, look over the edge.
